Building Green practices into the event planning for the Greener by Design conference is important to us. We have taken careful steps to implement these practices where we can with what our vendors offer.
Our marketing efforts were completely web-based and done by choosing association partners who share our vision. There was no printed invitation mailed for this event.
All printing for this event was done with green standards in place, from using 100% post-consumer recycled paper, supplied by our sponsor, Mohawk to choosing a local printer with green practice standards intact.
Our show bags, made from recyclable materials are supplied by Item Group.
BeGreen has been chose as the official “carbon-offset partner” of the Greener by Design event. You can choose to participate at one of three levels during the registration process.
BeGreen, a division of Green Mountain Energy Company, the nation’s leading provider of cleaner electricity and carbon offset solutions, offering consumers and businesses a way to reduce their impact on global warming through an innovative carbon offset program. BeGreen encourages individuals to take a stand against global warming by striving to become carbon neutral and doing their part in counteracting CO2 emissions. BeGreen also offers a carbon footprint calculator so that individuals can measure their carbon emissions from air and car travel, electricity and natural gas use. All BeGreen purchases and sales are audited by an independent third party auditor. Visit www.begreennow.com for more details.
